When a child goes missing, time
is precious. The danger for a missing
child grows every second they are
lost. In the words of the Department
of Justice "rapid access to
information is the key to a safe
recovery."

Keeping Current
Your child’s information is most valuable to first
responder organizations when it reflects a child’s
current description.
As you know, children grow quickly. Information on their
height, weight and especially their photos should be updated
regularly. Kid Save members receive reminders to update their
children’s information every 6 months.
The update process is as simple as taking a few measurements
and entering the information on the Kid Save web site.
Should a Registered Child Go
Missing
Should a member child ever be in crisis, members should
use Kid Save in conjunction with and in support of 911 resources.
Should a member child go missing, after calling 911, the
parent should contact Kid Save immediately by calling 800-SAVE-4-ME.
The Kid Save emergency operator will record all of the pertinent
information about the emergency incident. Learn

Please note that KidSave is a tool for concerned parents. In the case of an emergency KidSave will not automatically notify every party that can help your child. Parents of missing children are advised to read When Your Child is Missing: A Family Survival Guide (published by the US Department of Justice) and to use the KidSave.com fax or email on demand tools to ensure that all parties have the information that can help in the search for a missing child.
