Questions About the KidSave
                                  Child Safety Registry.

What is KidSave?

KidSave is an on-line child safety registry. It keeps complete and current descriptions of member children, including photographs. In an emergency, KidSave provides direct connections to authorities and missing children's organizations. KidSave provides parents with the best possible tools for keeping children out of danger and recovering children when they go missing.

How much does it cost?

KidSave is supported by modest membership. Discounts are available for members of sponsored groups. Pricing is available on our subscription pages.

How does it differ from other identification kits?

KidSave is much more than an ID card and a set of fingerprints.

KidSave.com provides parents with an comprehensive child safety program that is easy to use.

KidSave offers a secure Internet Child Safety Registry. The registry keeps up to date subscriptions and photographs on-line and available at a moment's notice in case of emergency.

When KidSave children goes missing, KidSave activates it's Emergency Notification Network to quickly get the child's information into the hands of law enforcement and missing children's groups.

How do you keep others from viewing my child's Information?

All information shared between you and the KidSave.com web site is encrypted to ensure privacy and security. Your child's information is stored under protection of your user name and password.

Your credit card information is sent directly to the credit card processing company and is never stored on our site.

Can a Hacker Penetrate the service?

While no system is 100% safe from intruders, KidSave.com uses the most respected hosting service in the industry, RackSpace.com. Our servers are protected with access codes and firewalls to prevent unauthorized and unwanted intrusions.

Our servers are monitored 24 hours a day for suspicious activity. Any machines attempting intrusions are immediately blocked from further communication with the KidSave.com servers.

How is the communication initialized through the Kidsave system in regards to informing law enforcement?

When a KidSave member child goes missing, the member calls our 24 hour crisis line and reports the incident. The KidSave enters the details of the incident and activates the KidSave Emergency Notification Network.

The Emergency Notification Network sends the incident information to registered law enforcement agencies and missing children's organizations via email and fax. The member then begins the process of registering the case with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

When the child is recovered, the Member calls and updates the KidSave database and notifies all nodes of the Emergency Notification Network that the case is closed.

Can you provide fingerprinting and photos for the kids?

KidSave.com provides materials and instructions for:

  • Fingerprinting children
  • Archiving children's photographs
  • Keeping accurate records

KidSave.com provides an easy to use function for uploading current digital photographs to the Child Safety Registry.

What if we just implemented a safety program?

A good child safety program stands up to the following review. Does your Safety program include:

  • Direct connections to law enforcement?
  • Secure, on-line information storage?
  • Regular reminders to keep information current?
