KidSave.com Announces Activation of Emergency Notification Network

This week (December 15) KidSave.com activated its Emergency Notification Network. Law enforcement personnel and missing children's organizations can now register on line to receive information on missing children via email.

If a registered child goes missing, law enforcement will be sent ready-to-print fliers with local case numbers and police contact information. The children's records are updated
every 6 months to ensure current physical descriptions and photographs are sent out.

The rapid response capability of the KidSave Emergency Notification Network is important in that most victims of stereotypical kidnappings come to harm within the first three hours. Immediate access to a rich and current description of a missing child helps responders to accelerate their activities and increase the chances of a safe recovery within these first few hours.

KidSave.com Launches On-Line Child Safety Registry

Inphodentity and KidSave.com launched their Child Safety Registry website this week (September 15). KidSave provides a child identification registry that will securely archive a photo and key descriptive data of a child for rapid retrieval in an emergency situation. KidSave members also have access to educational resources and child safety tools.

Inphodentity has operated a child safety registry since 1996. The launch of the KidSave on-line child safety registry is important because it is now the first registry to instantly post descriptions of missing children and send these descriptions to authorities via fax and email. In a missing child situation, speed is of the utmost importance. Most kidnapping victims are harmed within 2 hours. KidSave's rapid response is designed to answer that need for speed. To help with emergency preparedness, KidSave members receive helpful reminders to keep their children's information complete and up to date.

To protect the privacy of members, KidSave uses a secure database with encrypted communications to the member. The KidSave database resides with Rackspace Managed Hosting Service providing "military type" data system security utilizing access codes and firewalls to prevent unauthorized and unwanted intrusions. Member and child information is absolutely private until needed in an emergency.
